Definitions
School:  Netherlands School for Research in Practical Philosophy.
Sector: Cluster of  institutes participating in or collaborating with the NSRPP, located in the same region or active in the same field.

Article 1
The PhD Student Council consults with and advises the Board of Governors concerning all matters related to the training and supervision of the school’s PhD students.

Article 2
The number of PhD Student Council members is equal to the number of NSRPP clusters. Members are appointed by the Board of Governors for a period of 2 years, upon nomination by the sectors.

Article 3
1. The school shall have 7 sectors: The Free University and the University of Amsterdam; the Utrecht University; the Erasmus University; the technological universities Delft and Eindhoven; the Radboud University and the Tilburg University; the University of Groningen; the remaining collaborating institutes.
2. The Board of Governors can change the number and the composition of the clusters if developments in the size and composition of the school give reason to do so.
3. Each sector is empowered to nominate a candidate.

Article 4
The PhD Student Council elects a chairperson and a secretary from its members.

Article 5
1. The PhD Student Council meets at least twice annually.
2. The PhD Student Council can submit solicited or unsolicited advice to the Board of Governors concerning matters related to the training and supervision of PhD students.
3. The PhD Student Council organizes activities that stimulate the exchange of experiences and ideas among PhD students.

Article 6
Regarding activities as referred to in article 5, section 3, the Board of Governors provides the :PhD Student Council with an annual budget.

Article 7
The PhD Student Council nominates one of its members for membership of the Educational Committee of the NSRPP.
